FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer + MultiPack Bag Kit Giveaway

It’s a running joke in my family that I freeze everything. Everything. I can’t even deny it or defend it, because I’m not about to give up the addiction.

If it can be frozen, I’ll freeze it. In fact, there’s rarely a meal that goes by that something doesn’t either come out of the freezer or go into it.

The problem is that all too often what comes out of it is either freezer-burned, too old or unidentifiable.

But now I have medicine for my addiction: a FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System. Amen.

Preserving food and extending the shelf life of food has never been easier, and I’m a happy, happy girl. I can count on my vacuum sealed food to remain fresh up to 5 times longer. Traditional methods of storage still trap air inside which causes food to lose flavor and nutrition.

Air is the number one enemy of freshness!

I have a tiny kitchen and very little counter space, so I can’t leave my FoodSaver sitting out all the time. I keep it in a cupboard and it’s ready to use immediately upon plugging in.

You have the option of using the sealing roll (stored inside the machine) or sealing bags. They’re equally easy to use, but I do like the quick accessibility of the sealing roll.

The built-in cutting bar makes it super simple to have a bag custom-sized to your needs. With a simple push across the roll, it cuts the plastic cleanly.

To make a bag, push the Seal Button and feed one side of the bag material into the vacuum channel (curled end down) and sealing will begin. The red Seal Indicator light shuts off when it’s done (just a few seconds).

Once you have made a bag or if you’re using a pre-made bag, feed the open end into the vacuum channel and the FoodSaver system will automatically vacuum and seal. (No need to push any buttons to prompt it. The red light will again turn off when it’s complete.

I always buy my ground beef in bulk to save money, and whereas I was wrapping it in foil and then putting that in freezer bags, I can have it freezer-ready in one step now with the vacuum sealer.

FoodSaver removing air from bag

I vacuum sealed four bags of ground beef and it was so easy!  You should wait about 20 seconds between seals to allow the machine to cool down. Then either refrigerate or freeze everything you’ve sealed up!

I made a video to show the FoodSaver in use and to show you how it sounds when it’s vacuuming and sealing.

Another nice perk to this unit is that it has a handheld sealer which can be used on FreshSaver zipper bags. The sealer is placed over the valve on the bag, the accessory button is pushed and the vacuum process begins.

I like to use this on my brown sugar, nuts, raisins and dried fruit. I open the zipper to get the small amount needed for my recipe, close the zipper back up and vacuum the air back out until the next time.

The handheld sealer can also be used to quick marinate too! It requires a special container which I don’t have yet, but it’s available as an accessory.

I love cooking in bulk and then freezing in individual portions so that part won’t be anything new, but my food won’t be spoiling and going to waste like it was, so I’m going to save a ton of money!

The FoodSaver 2-in-1 Sealing System is priced for $199.99 and has a 5-year limited warranty. Visit to purchase!

I buy my meat in bulk containers and have to separate them out into smaller portions and this would be great to have for that

I by meat in bulk when it’s on sale,so I would use it when I divide the meat up in portions per meals to freeze.
