Eating this caprese-style panini sandwich makes me happy, happy, happy.
You guys don’t even know how much I love paninis.
They’re so darn easy to make and that crunchy bread with hot melty goodness inside … can’t get enough.
Paninis are nice in that you can pretty much toss anything inside, and it’ll delight your taste buds, but I’m pretty fond of a caprese-style panini, so that’s what I thought I’d share today. But, this sammy was made with Newman’s Own Olive Oil & Vinegar salad dressing, and it was the first time I’ve added it to a sandwich, rather than a salad.
That’s good stuff ya got there, Paul.
So you’ll need some Italian bread, fresh mozzarella, Roma tomato slices, fresh basil and the dressing.
Classic and delicious.
For a tasty twist, throw on some black olives, and if you want to go carnivore, try adding some ham!
No matter how you make this caprese-style panini sandwich, it won’t be the last one you make.
So stinkin’ good.
Pssst… if you love the olive oil and vinegar salad dressing as much as I do, put a little in a dish for some dunking.
Man, that’s tasty.
For the record, you could take the ingredients of this caprese-style panini sandwich and put it on a bed of salad greens, and it would be equally delicious!
Like this.
Paul wasn’t kidding when he said, “From salad dressing, all blessings flow.
Serve this sammy or salad with this tomato tortellini soup!
